Growing the Found. The purpose of the Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian Church is summed up by the word "growth." We exist to grow. A living body grows. So, in faithfulness to the Lord of the church, Christ Jesus, and to His Word, the Bible, our purpose is to grow in numbers and maturity. Growing in numbers means we are to flash a clear message to the world that this is an evangelical church. This means caring for people, saved and unsaved, seeeking to bring all to joyful commitment to Jesus Christ, and to each other in the body of Christ. This requires an awareness of the needs of people about us and seeking to minister to those needs in a Biblical, Christ-like, Spirit-filled way. Growing in maturity means we are a fellowship of people wanting to grow in the knowledge of God and in the daily living of His truth, to the end that all will become mature, joyful, loving, contagious disciples of Christ. Our resource for such body-life is the person of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we will strive to help each other discover, develop, and use the Spiritual gifts God has entrusted to us. Our strategy is summed up by the Apostle Paul, who wrote, "From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:16) Ready to grow?
